What Our Families Say About Us

The team at Manchester Montessori House have created something special. Having experienced other nursery providers previously, I have been overwhelmed and delighted with the support we have received from MMH in settling our daughter Maisie with them. Maisie is approaching 3 and has never been in a childcare setting before but she has settled wonderfully at MMH. The team’s attention to detail and genuine desire to get to know Maisie has led to her feeling engaged, nurtured and happy. By the second day she was waving me off happily and she only ever complains that I pick her up too early! The range of activities combined with the ability for her to be independent and the warm, nurturing environment are a winning combination, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the setting to other parents.

**A Heartfelt Thank You to an Incredible Montessori Setting**

Our daughter’s year between the ages of 5 and 6 was the most challenging we had faced as a family. We arrived at the Montessori setting feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, and truly at our wit’s end. We were desperate to find a place where our daughter Mia and the unique challenges she faced, would not only be accepted but embraced with understanding and care. From the moment we walked through the door, we felt something we hadn’t in a long time: hope. The environment was calm, nurturing and deeply respectful of each child’s individuality. The Montessori method, with its gentle guidance and deep-rooted ethics, was exactly what our daughter needed. She wasn’t pushed to conform, she was supported to grow in her own way, at her own pace. The staff, led by Sylwia, showed a level of compassion and dedication that went beyond anything we expected. We felt loved and accepted as a family, and our daughter blossomed under their care. Saying goodbye at the end of the year was incredibly difficult. But Sylwia reassured us, gently and confidently, that our daughter was ready for her next chapter, and she was right. That faith, that insight, meant everything to us. We are endlessly grateful to Sylwia and the entire team for their unwavering support and belief in our little girl. You helped guide her through one of the hardest years of her young life. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Daniela, Marco and Mia.

Our daughter felt at home the moment she stepped in the door.  She made some beautiful friendships instantly as Manchester Montessori House is such a welcoming environment.  She loves the independent play, circle time and playing outdoors.  Her teachers showed her so much care whilst encouraging independence.  She was diagnosed with a speech disorder, and the team were great in accommodating for her and her needs.  It was a great transition for her to go from childminder to school, and I look forward to my second daughter attending in a couple of years.

Libbie, Current Manchester Montessori House family 2022-2023

Thank you for all the support that you have given our son and us this week. We couldn’t have had a better first week for him, and really appreciate how child led this has been, making him feel comfortable and secure in his new surroundings. All the feedback we have been getting from our boy has been really positive too, he has been speaking about his new nursery fondly.  It has been so lovely for us to be involved in this too.

Cath and Gaz- new, current Manchester Montessori House family

Montessori House was my child’s first ever institutional childcare experience and we thought it would take him some time to get used to it. He loved it from the very beginning! I think it was a combination of things: the small, cosy, comfortable, creative space; the friendly and caring staff; the independence the children have; the different age groups that share the space (something he was used to from home); the thoughtful, educational material that he was eager to experiment with; the calm atmosphere that was also noticeable in the other children. Manchester Montessori House is a great place to make friends and to feel at home. We are so happy to have found this place for our child, he is so proud of it, and it has helped him to learn more about himself and the world around.”

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit on Friday, Bertie especially. Neil and I have talked about your setting every day since, in amazement at how at ease it made us all feel. A truly child led approach is beautiful to witness and we are extremely keen for Bertie to attend as soon as …

My daughter loves here. This place is more than a school /nursery. The teachers are so caring and loving-kindness people… They treat my daughter like someone of theirs family.I see a lot of affection on their part with us parents too. Besides that it is impressive how they put all effort to create new and different activities all based on Montessori approach. I really could see changes in my daughter since the begging. She became more confident, concentrated and with More self- esteem.

Anna, Giovana’s mum

We have had such a positive experience at Montessori House. The setting is such a lovely space for the children and the garden too. I m always amaze d at the quality of the activities for the children. It is a joy to drop Mia off and pick hr up from the nursery. It is a wonderful community around the nursery too.

Karen, Mia’s mum

I am incredibly satisfied with choosing Montessori House for my son’s early ears education. Montessori House has been the only setting where Amar has been able to settle in and feel safe. I believe this is because of the wonderful people who work here and of course the Montessori approach towards children.  The teachers are kind, calm and incredibly creative. They assisted Amar in developing social skills, managing emotions and satisfying his curiosity. I trust them with my full heart as I observed how they took care of my son and helped me raise him while I was at work. Montessori House is a small setting which I believe helps young children to settle in and treat it as their second home. There is always someone available for the kids to resolve any distress and there is no conflict or incident that would ever go unnoticed. I recommend Montessori House to anyone who is looking for the best opportunity for their child.

Tara Aleksandra- Amar’s mum

The main praise I can give to Manchester Montessori House is that Lucca cannot wait to get there when it’s the days he attends; he’s excited to go and be in that environment. He thrives at Manchester Montessori House, which gives him a great balance of autonomy and responsibility which encourages learning and development at his own individual pace and through peer interactions. Being an authentic bilingual setting is a great bonus as it exposes Lucca to different languages from an early age which is of great importance to us not being a fluent bilingual family ourselves. He has developed a great friendship group and has fantastic support from the adults in the setting who facilitate his learning journey while there. We home educate so Manchester Montessori House is a space for Lucca to attend while we are working – but it is not a school setting. It is a learning and growth setting where children are encouraged in a safe and respectful place. He has a peer group at this setting, and they are allowed to explore their learning as a group and learn so much from each other. He turned 7 this September and if this kind of education setting was available through to an older age, I would not hesitate to send him to it.  He will attend for as long as he gains value from it and happily this seem to be for the foreseeable future.”

Holly and Adam, Luca’s Parents

We can’t recommend Montessori House enough for a child-oriented approach to play and learning. Our child thrived here in the year she spent with them before school and her social and emotional skills developed so quickly. The staff really care about all the children and it’s so nice to feel involved with what is happening there as well as all the regular feedback you get.

Kirsty, our returning parent

“We absolutely love MMH. It was our daughter’s first experience of nursery, and it couldn’t have been better. The staff are lovely; everyone is treated with respect. The children are encouraged and expected to work independently as well as coming together for group time. The nursery feels so calm, and the children work so purposefully. Our daughter has gained so much confidence since starting and is full of stories of what she has done that day, when I pick her up. The outside space is fantastic and my daughter loves doing forest school there! We can’t recommend it enough!”

Thanks

Hannah, current parent 2024/20025

Montessori House has been a great stepping stone for building confidence and developing skills. Ted loves the teachers and the small setting means everyone knows everyone well and can be individuals. I love the emphasis on outdoors and nature and The French has been Ted’s favourite thing. His maths has been developed amazingly too.

Rebecca, Ted’s mum.

Montessori House has given A the best possible start. It has nurtured his curiosity, followed his interests and provided rich and varied learning opportunities that he wouldn’t have had elsewhere. A has had a wonderful journey. He has loved his teachers, made lots of friends and is well prepared for his transition to school- Thank you.

Natasha, Alfie’ s mum

Being in a warm and nurturing environment has been so valuable for our son’s growth. At Montessori House he has been loved and his individual characteristics celebrated. He has moved from being shy observer to leader in play and built strong friendships.

Cath and Gareth, Rafi’s parents

Effie started in January and has quickly settled in MMH. It is lovely learning environment, and teachers really care for the children. Effie has learnt so much and came in with her development since starting We are so happy that she started here. Thank you so much.

Thank you! Rosa has loved her time at Montessori House and sending her here was one of the best decisions we have made as her parents. The staff and the environment are so welcoming, caring and supportive. The work and projects she has explored here, have been so inspiring for Rosa. We can see how much she has developed and grown in lots of ways in her first year hear. The range of play and activities has encouraged her curiosity with the world in many ways. She -and me- will miss it greatly!

Sarah. Rosa’s mum

Thea has loved being part of Montessori House setting. We have seen her develop enormously in confidence and build good friendships. She enjoys the outside space and forest school. I have enjoyed some of more unique aspects of Monti House like her walk around the sun. We have routinely been invited to see how nursery operates and were are communicated with on regular basis. We would trophy recommended Monti to everyone! It has been a brilliant place for Thea to be part of.

Laura, Thea’s mum

Manchester Montessori House provides warm and nurturing setting for children, where they can learn organically and at their own pace. The variety of activities including forest school sessions and French lessons are wonderful. My daughter loves her time here and is flourishing.

Jay, Rae’s mum.

Montessori House is a wonderful setting with knowledgeable and caring staff who have provided such a fantastic stepping stone before our daughter starts school. The range of child led activities is superb and she has had the opportunity to learn and grow at her own pace. She has had a wonderful time, and we highly appreciate the opportunity to be part of such a special space.

Becky, June’s mum

MMH has guided Ra with an uplifting and supportive environment to grow into a well-rounded 6-year-old. The gentle structure, circle time and learning about different cultures have been very formative for him and I’m very appreciative of the regular ???? of Wednesdays at MH to keep a rhythm going for his focus, exploration and independent sociability. We are especially grateful to teacher Lucy, who has been key person in Ras alternative education and a good steady companion to Ra and a kind-hearted support.
